The Importance of Multivitamins
Recently, there has been a lot of buzz and negative press on
mainstream media sites (like the New York Times) where they claim that it is
not necessary to take your vitamins.
These media sources believe in the claim that most people get the nutrition
they need from food and should not take supplemental vitamins. Some even claim that multivitamins can be
dangerous! This position from mainstream media can be nothing further from the
truth!! Don't be fooled by mainstream media's opinion. Unfortunately, mainstream media usually has a largely negative view on proven alternative therapies and ways to support overall health and wellness because they are influenced by big Pharma (who profit from you being sick by selling you medication).
It is vital that you
invest in continue supplementing with multivitamins daily. In fact, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) back in 2005 reported that many Americans receive inadequate nutrient intake from food alone. They stated, for example, 93% of Americans have an inadequate intake of vitamin E; 56% have inadequate intake of magnesium; etc. In the past few years, The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), and several other prestigious medical journals found many benefits from individuals supplementing with multivitamins.
Keep in mind that it is also important to keep a positive
attitude and limit our stress as much as possible on a day-to-day level. This
can be crucial in our maintaining overall health and wellness. It is important
to realize that our mood and how we react to things (our mind-body connection)
can play a large role in how we manifest/develop disease. This website is meant
to help empower you and take the steps needed to optimize your health........
In health,
Dr. Jason
