Ways to Limit Exposure:
- Never Microwave BPA Containers-Never heat your food in a container containing BPA. BPA can break down at high temperatures and release BPA directly in your food.
- Limit Canned Food Intake-stop eating so many foods that come out of can, because many cans are lined in BPA. A nice alternative is frozen, and they usually have more nutrients and fewer preservatives.
- Toys, Bottles, and Containers-Make sure your children's items are also BPA free. Bottles, toys, and containers often contain BPA, make sure to check the tags when buying these items for your children.
- Filter your drinking and cooking water-some detectable levels of BPA have been found in the water. So its very important to filter the water you drink and cook with.
- Choose a Better Water Bottle-the lightweight plastic bottles maybe more convenient but they are made out of polycarbonate plastic. A better alternative is a stainless steel water bottle, without a a plastic inside lining.
