Eating Organic!!

It seems like "Organic" has been a major buzz word lately! Eating organic can be a lifestyle change that seems overwhelming, and confusing so we wanted to help get you started and pave a clearer path by giving you the following tips to eat organic!!

  • Make sure you are actually eating organic. Don't confuse the words "Hormone Free", "Free Range" or "natural" with organic. You only want food that has a label that reads "100% organic" "Made with Organic ingredients".
  • Cook from scratch,  when you cook from scratch that means you know exactly what is going into you and your families food. It also means you can avoid the unknown the preservatives, and unknown additives.
  • Eating organically has many major health benefits, one of the biggest is that organic foods are free of neurotoxins. Neurotoxins are toxins that are damaging to brain  and nerve cells. The toxin is present in a commonly used class of pesticides.
  • One of the simplest reasons to eat organically is that it taste better than pesticide-grown food.
  • If you are only going to eat certain organic foods, the most important are Milk, Meat, and Fruit.
Eating organically is sometimes seen as fad, or some diet that wont last long, but many don't know that before WWI produce was grown organically, proving that organic eating is not just around for a season. Organic food can prevent a lot health problems and diseases, and can help to make you feel and digest better. If you have been wanting to give it a try, I think it will make you feel GREAT!!
