Chem Trails 101

    If you Google "Chem Trails" you will most likely get a lot of websites that start with conspiracy theorist believe, or those crazy anti-government people believe. But regardless of what side of the debate you are on, the facts still remain that Chem Trails exist and they are spraying dangerous chemicals into the sky regardless of the reason and that should concern you. There has been testing on the chemicals that have come from Chem Trails and the below list is what they have found.

  • Demand public investigation of chemtrails spraying
  • Demand an explanation for chemtrail spraying on the city/county/state/congress/senate levels and do not accept the denial that spraying is going on.
  • Demand that each city/county/state be given a 72 hour warning before spraying so people can choose to protect themselves.
  • Demand an immediate cease to all chemtrail spraying until we know the short and long term effects of chemtrails on the general population.
  • Introduce legislation to create “No-Chemtrail Spraying Zones” 
  • Prosecute anyone who continues to aid these illegal chemtrail operations and hold those companies responsible that produce toxic chemicals, toxic metals, biological toxins, and any other submicron particles that cause chemtrail related diseases that effect the general population.
How to Protect You and Your Family From Chem Trails:
  1. Stay indoors when chemtrails are being sprayed.
  2. Drink plenty of water. Water helps to flush toxins out of the body. You might consider drinking distilled water as you are detoxing.
  3. Build up your immune system as strong as possible. (chemtrails weaken the immune system)
  4. Get direct sun light when spraying stops.
  5. Go to a health & vitamin store and get a Heavy Metal Detox supplement.
  6. Keep young children and the elderly inside during spraying.
  7. Avoid Vitamins that contain lots of minerals that could mix with chemtrail metals that could “accelerate” chemtrail effects.
  8. Increase your Vitamin D intake.
  9. Exercise to stay strong and keep your immune system strong.
  10. Cilantro helps your body excrete metals
  11. Educate yourself on building your immune system and chemtrail health remedies.
  12. Keep 2-3 months of water, food and money in the event there is a breakout of some airborne disease.
  13. Red or white wine before bedtime after proplonged exposure has helped some people. Wine contains tartaric acid that helps
  14. Ice cream if nothing else, forms a mucous in the body that helps surround the chemtrail ingredients through the lower intestine tract where they would normally toxins would normally cause gastrointestinal toxicity.
  15. Apple Pectin helps remove radiation from your system and is available in health food stores. Researchers have found that raw Apples are the richest of fruits in pectin. Drink lots of apple juice and eat apples within first 12 hours of a chemtrail spraying.

The Risks of Fluoride!!

    In 1974, Congress passed the Safe Drinking Water Act, to make it possible to add fluoride to our public drinking water. Fluoride was added to our water in order to help prevent tooth decay, but fluoride also has many dangerous health risks and adverse effects on teeth. 
     In 2006, a study done by The Lancet identified fluoride as "an emerging neurotoxic substance" that causes severe brain damage. Also The National Research Council concluded that "it is apparent that fluorides have the ability to interfere with the functions of the brain and the body by direct and indirect means."  Another study published a month later found a definitive link between fluoride intake and reduce IQ levels, another example that fluoride intake causes cognitive damage.

Fluoride is not the only chemical that is present in our public drinking water.Chlorine, is also added to water to kill bacteria in the water. Some water supplies may also contain organic chemicals, radionuclides, inorganic chemicals, and disinfections.

The Shocking Health Risks of Aspartame!!

    Aspartame is a very sweet substance that is used as an artificial sweetener in many products. Across the world, over a billion people consume aspartame in their foods and beverages across the world, being lead to believe its a safe ingredients. But what they and you probably don't know is that aspartame currently accounts for over 75% of all side effects complaints received by the FDA's Adverse Reaction Monitoring System (ARMS) for the past 4 years. There is an extensive list of side effects, some of those side effects are seizures, headaches/migraines, and memory loss. Aspartame can trigger some pretty serious chronic diseases as well, such as epilepsy, brain tumors, and Alzheimer's.  These health risks are so serious because Aspartame dissolves into solution and can therefore travel throughout the body and deposit within any tissue. 
    The negative effects of Aspartame are frightening and life threatening  so it is highly recommended by many Doctors that Aspartame be avoided.

Ways to Avoid Aspartame:

  • Choose Natural Sugars, such as Sugar in the Raw, Truvia, and Frontier Natural Products, Organic Cane Sugar.
  • Enjoy the Natural Sweetness in Foods, such as honey in your tea, and the sweetness of fruit.
  • Always read the label, on everything down to even gum, look in the ingredients for aspartame,also called equal, NutraSweet, Spoonful, E951, and Canderel.
  • Make more homemade meals, that way you can make sure you know all the ingredients that are going into your meals, and in turn into your body.

Again Aspartame consummation can cause some very serious illnesses that are life threatening. It is important if we can eliminate toxins and poisons from our lives that we do. It may be inconvenient and hard to eliminate Aspartame from your diet, but its worth all the health benefits.

Say No To GMOs!!

      A GMO is a genetically modified organism, and is a organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques. GMOs are also present in many commonly used products and foods. You don't even have to search hard to find GMO foods on your supermarket shelves, over 85 percent of corn and soy grown in the U.S. comes from seeds who DNA has been rejiggered (to increase yields), and those crops are in many processed foods including bread, salad dressing and soda. 
    Now the major problem is that research has shown time and time again that these GMOs are not only unhealthy but deadly. In a recent study using GMO corn, the rats developed huge tumors, experienced organ damage, and premature death.














On Saturday May 25th,2013 in Chicago, we protested a company named Monsanto,there were also protests against Monsanto happen around the world at the same time. Monsanto is a agriculture company that is at the center of the GMO debate, and the main enemy in this fight. Monsanto is the worst of the worst in yielding and producing GMO crops, and foods. Monsanto also has ties with the government and is trying to get laws passed that they don't have to label products with GMOs. So we won't even know when we are eating foods that could cause us cancer and even death. Please contact your state representatives so this law does not get passed, and so that we have the right to know whats in our foods. There are also ways to eat foods to avoid GMOs and all the health risks that come with them.

Eat GMO Free:

  • Buy foods that are labels 100% organic. The US and Canadian government do not allow manufacturers to label food 100% organic if that food has been genetically modified or been fed genetically modified feed. 
  • Know Fruits and Veggies Label Numbers If it is a 4-digit number, the food is conventionally produced. If it is a 5-digit number starting with an 8, it is GMO. If it is a 5 digit number beginning with a 9, it is organic.
  • Only Purchase beef that is 100% grass-fed. Most of the cattle in the US are grass-fed but spent the last part of life in feedlots eating GMO corn. If the cattle is 100% grass-fed they aren't fed GMO corn.
  • Shop Local, most of the GMO foods in the US come from large, industrial farms. Shopping at farmers markets,and co-ops will help to avoid GMO foods.
  • Grow it Yourself, when you grow your own food you know exactly what you are feeding you and your family.

Limit Your BPA Exposure!!

BPA which is bisphenol, is a chemical building block that is used primarily to make polycarbonate plastic and epoxy resins. This plastic is lightweight, high-performance plastic that possesses a unique balance of toughness, high heat resistance, optical clarity, and excellent electrical resistance. Polycarbonate is used in a variety of common products including cars, sports equipment, and reusable food and drink containers. Now the main problem with BPA(s) is that they can be dangerous to the brain, behavior, and prostate gland. Many studies have shown that low exposure to BPA is fairly safe, but its still best to limit exposure to BPA.

Ways to Limit Exposure:

  • Never Microwave BPA Containers-Never heat your food in a container containing BPA.  BPA can break down at high temperatures and release BPA directly in your food.
  • Limit Canned Food Intake-stop eating so many foods that come out of can, because many cans are lined in BPA. A nice alternative is frozen, and they usually have more nutrients and fewer preservatives. 
  • Toys, Bottles, and Containers-Make sure your children's items are also BPA free. Bottles, toys, and containers often contain BPA, make sure to check the tags when buying these items for your children.
  • Filter your drinking and cooking water-some detectable levels of BPA have been found in the water. So its very important to filter the water you drink and cook with.
  • Choose a Better Water Bottle-the lightweight plastic bottles maybe more convenient but they are made out of polycarbonate plastic. A better alternative is a stainless steel water bottle, without a a plastic inside lining.



There is so much in this world that we can't control and can't prevent from entering our bodies. But there are certain things we can limit or eliminate from entering our bodies and BPA is one of those things. So why not take those extra steps to make sure you and your family are that much healthier.

Eating According to Your Blood Type!!

According to author of "Eat Right for Your Type:The Individualized Diet Solution to Staying Healthy, Living Longer & Achieving Your Ideal Weight", Peter J. D'Adamo believes that your blood types affect the digestive system and that some foods are good for people of one blood type are dangerous for another. Below are the blood types and what food you should eat and stay away from!

Blood Types:

Blood Type O: You're metabolism will benefit from lean meats, poultry, and fish. Restrict grains, breads, and legumes, and perform vigorous exercise.
Blood Type A: This blood type flourishes on a vegetarian diet, the diet contains soy proteins, grains, and organic vegetables. Perform gentle exercise.
Blood Type B: This is the blood type that has tolerant digestive system, so you can enjoy low-fat dairy, meat, and produce. But you should avoid corn, lentils and wheat. You can also enjoy moderate exercise.
Blood Type AB: This blood type has a sensitive digestive tract, and you should avoid beef, pork, and chicken. But enjoy tofu, seafood, dairy and produce. You can enjoy calming exercise.







Critics of this diet say that its a good general diet recommendations, but it can also pigeonhole people into certain foods. I wanted to highlighted this diet because different things work for different people and this could help certain people feel GREAT!!

The Dangers of Aluminum Deodorants and Antiperspirants!!

Everybody needs deodorant or antiperspirant, but that doesn't mean we should use one with the toxin aluminum. Almost all deodorants/antiperspirants out on the market contain aluminum in there ingredients  in facts its usually listed first, but aluminum is found to cause various diseases and complications in the body.

Aluminum's link to Alzheimer's Disease-One of the biggest claims against aluminum based antiperspirants is its connection between them and Alzheimer's Disease. It is believed that the chemical seeps into the brain after continuous use leading to Alzheimer's.

Aluminum Plugging Glands-Aluminum forms a temporary plug in the sweat gland to stop the flow of sweat. Some research suggested plugging the gland like that prevents toxins from exiting the body, and causes the toxins to remain in the body and be reabsorbed.

Aluminum's Link to Breast Cancer- Some research suggests that aluminum compounds, which are applied frequently and left on skin near the breast, may be absorbed and cause estrogen-like hormone effects.And because estrogen has the ability to promote the growth of breast cancer cells, some scientists have suggested that the aluminum based compounds in antiperspirants may contribute to the development of breast cancer.

Now none of these claims are 100% proven, but I look at aluminum in my deodorant/antiperspirant like this:
1) Why would I want to put something on and in my body that is referred to by scientists, doctors, and health officials as a toxin?-Well I Don't
2) If there is any possibility of the above claims being true, then why risk it when there are alternatives.

Healthy Meals with Kale

 Kale is versatile green that can be added to soup, pasta, and stew. Kale comes from the same food family as cabbage. Kale is very health and packed with the greatest antioxidant capacity of all fruit and vegetables. Kale is also packed with health-promoting sulfur compounds, and is an excellent source of vitamins, A,C, and K, as well as manganese  and a very good source of fiber, iron, potassium and calcium. All that and it is also low in calories. Kale can be used as a side dish, but also be integrated into many dishes such as:


  • Pasta-kale can be added to pasta,to add some healthy vitamins. 
  • Salad-kale can be added to a fresh summer salad.
  • Kale and Banana Smoothie-Place the banana, kale, soy milk, flax seeds, and maple syrup into a blender. Cover, and puree until smooth. Serve over ice. Helps to also get those daily fruit and veggie servings in.
  • Kale and Quinoa Salad-Add kale to your favorite quinoa dish.
  • Sandwich/Panini/Wrap-Add kale to any sandwich, panini or wrap for a great  source of nutrient.

Summer Weather Eats!!

Now that it's cookout season, it does not mean that you have to let Potato Salad, Ice Cream, and Pies, ruin all your hard work. There are easy substitutions you can make to still enjoy those summer cookouts!! Check out our easy swaps below:


  • Ice Cream-Instead of ice cream, try fruit sorbet or low fat frozen yogurt. You can save as much as 10 grams of fat, and 125 calories by making this easy switch.
  • Pies-Instead of pies, try fresh fruit cut up in bite size portions. Opting to not have the whole pie can save you 300 calories alone.
  • Juicy Burgers-Swap that burger, for a nice piece of lean grilled chicken. This can help not only keep your calories down but your cholesterol as well.
  • Mayo Salads- Instead of having the potato or macaroni salad, opt for the coleslaw instead. Not only will you save 100 calories, but cabbage has cancer fighting properties.
  • Chips and Dips-Swap those high calories dips, and fattening chips for hummus and veggies. That swap with save you 200 calories, and hummus is very good for you too. Hummus contains Omega 3 fatty acids, which is believed to maintain a health heart and improve intelligence.

Work Out Anywhere!!

    So its Monday again, and life has gotten in the way. You have a busy workday ahead, and your not even sure you will be able to fit in lunch, let alone a workout. Well you can do things at work that can help improve your health and add some exercise to your day. The video below is a instructional video that shows you some things you can do at work, at your desk. The workout only takes 15 mins and most moves can be done without much interruption to your workday.


Recent research shows that sitting stationary for a extended period of time can cause serious health problems. When sitting for extended periods of time through out the day causes the body to go into "shut down" mode. Sitting for an extended period of time increases the risk of death from cardiovascular disease and cancer. Even if you workout at the gym a few times a week, it wont off set the results of sitting. So standing and walking at every opportunity is the best solution. Try taking a walk during lunch, standing up at your desk every so often, and walking to a coworkers desk rather than calling them. Some workplaces now even offer a stand up to treadmill workstation.

As I write this, its not exactly summer weather but we saw a glimpse of it here in Chicago and have been promised it will return soon!! One important thing that many younger adults forget in the summer is the importance of skin care, and skin protection. A big part of your health starts with your first layer of defense, your skin. You may think "I'm young, skin cancer does NOT effect me". Well there are numerous cases of the deadliest cases of skin cancer in adults in their early twenties. Not sure if we can equate that to a  "tanning generation" or just a lack of sunscreen use. The scariest part is that those who are melanoma survivors are at a higher risk for other cancers, such as prostate, breast, and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. 

Regardless of the reasons and statistics for skin cancer, we can take precautions against it, and to try and protect our skin. Below are some GREAT tips to keep mind this summer to keep your skin healthier and looking younger.

Drink Up that H20-Remember that water has many benefits in the heat and sun but it also helps to keep your skin hydrated. Remember to drink at least eight 8 ounce glasses of water a day, and if you drink caffeine you need to drink triple that amount in water. Water helps to maintain good moisture balance in your skin. Also important for your overall health, it helps to detox your body of toxins.

Moisturize- Its important in any season, to moisturize your skin. Moisturizing your skin helps to soothe dry skin, and can also act as a bit of protection against the elements. Its best to buy a face moisturizer with sunscreen in it, to protect your face against sun damage. 

Always Wear Sunscreen- Even on a cloudy day you can get a little sunburn so remember to always wear sunscreen. You will need to modify the amount to higher coverage or amount depending on your expose to sun and the elements. And remember if you are at the beach, it will wash off so remember to reapply. 

Watch that Window- In the summer you should not be out in direct sunlight from 10am-3pm. If you do have to be in the sunlight be under a umbrella or wear a cover up and wear a high level SPF. If you can avoid that window of time the sun wont be as harsh on your skin. 

Soothe the Skin- So it happened, you took all the precausions and you still got a little sunburn. Its important to make sure to immediately soothe your skin with cool gels such as aloe vera. Its important to soothe the skin right away because you do not want it to blister. Just one blistering sunburn doubles your chance of melanoma.

Check Yourself- Make sure to keep an eye on your skin, and the moles that you do have for changes in color and size. Exposure to sun can change the size and color. Catching melanoma early can improve the odds. So check your skin often, and see a dermatologist every year to check your skin for abnormalities too.


Skin health is probably something that a lot of you have not equated to health and fitness. But you can be living a health lifestyle, eating healthy, being active and working out, but if you don't consider and take care of your skin, all that hard work will be in vain. So remember this is not just an issue of your beauty and, the first thing people see but its also a foundation to your health.

Eating Organic!!

It seems like "Organic" has been a major buzz word lately! Eating organic can be a lifestyle change that seems overwhelming, and confusing so we wanted to help get you started and pave a clearer path by giving you the following tips to eat organic!!

  • Make sure you are actually eating organic. Don't confuse the words "Hormone Free", "Free Range" or "natural" with organic. You only want food that has a label that reads "100% organic" "Made with Organic ingredients".
  • Cook from scratch,  when you cook from scratch that means you know exactly what is going into you and your families food. It also means you can avoid the unknown the preservatives, and unknown additives.
  • Eating organically has many major health benefits, one of the biggest is that organic foods are free of neurotoxins. Neurotoxins are toxins that are damaging to brain  and nerve cells. The toxin is present in a commonly used class of pesticides.
  • One of the simplest reasons to eat organically is that it taste better than pesticide-grown food.
  • If you are only going to eat certain organic foods, the most important are Milk, Meat, and Fruit.
Eating organically is sometimes seen as fad, or some diet that wont last long, but many don't know that before WWI produce was grown organically, proving that organic eating is not just around for a season. Organic food can prevent a lot health problems and diseases, and can help to make you feel and digest better. If you have been wanting to give it a try, I think it will make you feel GREAT!!

Anxiety Society

We are living in a society that is full of pressure, pressure to have the best of everything, pressure to be the best, the most successful, the most wealthy!! It is no wonder that anxiety is the most common mental illness in the U.S., with more than 40 million adults over 18 affected. Now while many cases of anxiety can be attributed to genetics or chemical imbalances in the brain, its my belief that a lot of cases of anxiety are due to the society we live in. Now none of these statistics and facts do us any good if we don't have a plan to ease anxiety, and here at I Feel Great Today, we have experienced anxiety first hand and have some simple tips to help ease the feelings of anxiety.

  • Working out-Exercise releases natural endorphins in the brain, those endorphins can ease anxiety, and get your blood flowing, and feel happier! Exercise is the only almost immediate ease for anxiety.
  • Mediation-Mediation can help free your mind of those harmful and anxious thoughts, it can help to relax and distract you.
  • Sleep/Rest-Going without sleep is something that we have found that will only heighten and make anxiety worse. Getting plenty of sleep helps to make sure if anxiety comes on you are fully rested and fully minded to take on the attack.
  • Get out in the World-Getting out your bubble of anxiety aka your house can help raise your spirits. Seeing people, and being out in the sunshine can help ease your anxiety and make you feel a part of the world again.
  • Visualization-Picturing your favorite place or favorite scene in a movie, something that makes you happy and smile, can help to make anxiety float away. Also for those suffering from more severe anxiety there are some guided visualizations that can be done to ease anxiety and depression as well.
  • Diet-The things you eat and drink can affect anxiety as well. Eating protein in the morning can help give you energy throughout the day. Also eating complex carbohydrates such as whole grains, can help too. Complex carbohydrates increase the amount of serotonin in your brain, giving you a calming feeling. Also try to limit or even avoid caffeine and alcohol. While many cope with anxiety and depression by using drugs and alcohol, it is never the answer. Drugs and alcohol may help treat the immediate symptoms of anxiety and depression, but in the long run using can worsen or magnify your anxiety. 
When you are suffering from anxiety it is common to feel alone, but you are not, there are many people suffering from the same thing, and it doesn't make you weak or crazy! It helps to talk to others, and learn from the things other people have tried and done. If your anxiety is severe or getting out of control it maybe time to see a mental health professional. As we mentioned above here at I Feel Great Today, anxiety is something we have experienced first hand, and the good news is we have reached the other side of the valley, and your anxiety can be eased and controlled too, and we hope you will one day feel GREAT!!

Goal Setting

Goal setting is very important whether its in regards to fitness, finances, or mental health. Goal setting is the way we measure success and progress, but goals can also can serve as more motivation when you reach your goals.

Where to Start

  • First you need to set your big picture goal, the ultimate goal you want to achieve.
  • Once you have a big picture goal, you need to set smaller goals that act as benchmarks to gauge whether you are on track for your bigger goal.
  • Keep on track by reviewing your goals, big and small daily. Also check your course of action everyday. 
  • Make sure to write down all your goals big and small, and also write down the progress you have achieved with your smaller benchmark goals.

-Remember once you have reached a goal to enjoy the satisfaction of achieving your goals, and reward yourself in little but significant ways. This will help improve your self confidence, self worth, and overall mental outlook.
-Making goal setting a part of your life will be highly beneficial in all areas of your life. So I challenge you to figure out what you want to achieve in your life, and follow the above steps to help you achieve those goals.
