When Life Gives You Lemons, Just Eat Them!!



I have been obsessed with Lemons for sometime. When I decided to not drink pop, and sugary juice, I needed to spice up my water, and lemons were my solution. Little did I know but lemons don't just help the taste of your water, but there are a lot of other benefits to lemons as well.



  • Better working digestive system-Lemon is a digestive Aid and can help cleanse the liver. Lemons also enable the body to remove bad cholesterol and create a supportive environment for good bacteria, this causes the body to work more efficitently and effectively.
  • Healthier immune system- Lemon in tea can help when you have a cold or the flu, because of Lemon's antibacterial and antiviral properties, that can speed up the healing process.
  • Better-looking skin-Lemons can help with a number of skin issue, it has helped with acne, eczema, and bug bites. Lemon oil has vessel-strengthening properties that can help fight varicose and spider veins. And the proven antibacterial and antiviral properties of lemons can accelerate the healing process in the case of canker sores. 
  • Helps with Anxiety-The calming effect of lemon balm can with exhaustion, fatigue, dizziness, nervousness  tension and anxiety. 
  • Increases Energy Level-Inhaling lemon oil can help with increased concentration and alertness, Sucking on a piece of lemon can also help with fatigue, because its fast acting and refreshing.

When consuming lemons it is important to keep in mind that lemons are an acidic fruit and therefore contain a lot of acid. Acid can erode your enamel and weaken your teeth. It is important to limit the contact the lemon has with your teeth, and when your teeth do come into contact with lemons to brush your teeth immediately after.
