Serious Health Risks By Taking Over-the-counter Pain Relievers!!

Over-the-counter analgesics (pain relievers) such as acetaminophen, ibuprofen, and aspirin do not require a prescription and are used most commonly in the United States. When these OTC are taken for a short term and used as directed, they do not cause harm. But when these are taken more frequently and in too high of dosage they can cause adverse effects and health conditions!

Serious Effects:

  • Interactions with Other Medications.
  • Dyspepsia, Ulcers, and Bleeding
  • Toxic to Kidneys
  • Increased Risk of Bleeding
  • Increased Risk of High Blood Pressure
  • Liver Damage
  • Hearing Loss
  • Tinnitus (Ringing in the Ears)

It is important to know the risks before taking medication. As stated before it is important to take medication as directed and if you need it more often to check with your doctor. Avoiding these risks by taking medication responsibly can help with unwanted side effects and serious health problems.
