The Dangers of Fracking!!

There has been much debate lately in regard to a process called fracking. Fracking or hydraulic fracturing as it sometimes referred to, is the process of extracting natural gas from shale rock layers deep within the earth. The problem with fracking is not so much the actual process but what other factors go along with it. These companies that are fracking, use a fracking fluid that they have been resistant to disclose the contains of that fluid. Samples taken from the well sites indicate that the fluid contains the following. Acetic acid, citric acid, formaldehyde, and boric acid, along with not to mention hundreds of other contaminants. To make matters worse it has recently been discovered that companies have illegally been using diesel fuel in their fracking fluid. The other problem is that fracking uses and wastes local freshwater, and contaminates it beyond ever using it again. In fact each fracking well uses between two and five million gallons of locally-sourced freshwater which will permanently contaminated by ground contaminants and toxic chemicals contained in the fracking fluid.
Fracking isn't only bad for our drinking water, and health dangers from that, there are numerous other dangers that make fracking very dangerous. In fact the evidence of what it does to human life is so bad, that the fracking companies go to such great lengths to cover it up. So in a effort to observe the effects of life, two Cornell University researchers observed cows to find out the terrible and inexcusable dangers. This study was conducted by Robert E. Oswald and Michelle Bamberger, who found that consequences ranged from near-immediate death to stillbirths and genetics defects in offspring, that was present years after exposure to fracking waste water. Interesting enough, but the researchers didn't just look at the livestock, they also included cases of humans with their animals that were also suffering the effects. Two homeowners who were located two miles of approximately 25 fracking wells, saw multiple instances of waste water dumping and spillage. A child in the area was even hospitalized for arsenic poisoning, causing him to miss a year of school. Other family members tested positive for phenol, a sign of benzene poisoning, and experienced extreme fatigue, nosebleeds, headaches, rashes, and sensory deficits. As if that wasn't enough, a horse died of heavy metal poisoning. As well as the dog and goat experienced spontaneous miscarriage and stillborn.
The researchers also raised concern about food safety and consumption. They observed and document several cases of animals being slaughter after exposure to chemical contaminants without testing, and entire contaminated farms that continue producing dairy and meat products without testing.
Now sometime while reading this you havethought at least once "Well how does this effect me?- I don't live on a farm or near a farm area". To do that I say, first of all if this effect one, it effects all. Not to mention the fact that you still buy meat, dairy, chicken, veggies, fruits, etc from the store right. Well how do you know that those products you just purchased didn't come   from a farm that has been fracked or has had fracked nearby. Like I just told you these farms that are effect keep going on as business as usually, selling their meat, and dairy, so it can hit closer to home than you think, and you could be feeding you and your family food that has been exposed to deadly chemicals.

There are many more problems with fracking that we just couldn't cover here, because we wanted to focus on health. But I recommend being a informed citizen and doing your own research to see what fracking is doing to this country and its farm lands.
