There is a few super-food in town, it helps your heart, and controls your blood sugar, its is white mulberries. The white mulberry is native to eastern and central China. Mulberries are large, deciduous trees native to warm, temperate, and subtropical regions of Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Technically, the mulberry fruit is an aggregation of small fruits arranged longitudinally around the central axis as in blackberry or loganberries.

- Containing 30-40 grams of sugar, which is half of the sugar found in raisins, mango, and dates.

- The berries are also a great source of protein as well, containing 4 grams of protein in just 1/3 of a cup.
- A compound called 1-deoxynojirimycin (DNJ) found in mulberry leaves is thought to inhibit sugar digestion so that most sugar is not absorbed into the bloodstream and is instead excreted.
- Studies suggest DNJ helps prevent spikes in blood sugar. You can drink mulberry leaf tea with your meals to help control blood sugar and possibly prevent diabetes.
