Healthier Panini Recipe!!!

Have you ever bought a panini at a store or cafe and thought, "I could make this better at home". Well now you can and its really easy. Even better swapping out a few normal ingredients for healthier choices will cut more than 500 calories off the panini without sacrificing the flavor.

Ingredients
100% whole-wheat roll
4 slices of prosciutto, fat removed
2 slices of tomato

2 slices of fresh mozzarella
Basil leaves
2 pickled hot cherry peppers, thinly sliced
Salt
Pepper

Directions
Pre-heat a panini press, griddle or stainless steel pan over medium heat.

Cut the whole-wheat roll in half crosswise.

Lay the prosciutto, tomato and mozzarella slices on the bottom half of the roll. Top with basil leaves and two thinly sliced hot cherry peppers. Season with salt and pepper.

Before covering the sandwich with the top half of the roll, scoop the excess bread out of the top.

Cover the sandwich with the top half of the bread and heat on a panini press, griddle or stainless-steel pan.
